Safety & Compliance

Every flight we undertake is legal, insured and carefully planned. Here is exactly how we keep our drone operations safe and fully compliant with UK regulations.

    CAA Permissions

Inspire Drone Media operates under authorisation from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This means we are legally permitted to fly drones commercially — something that sets professional operators apart from hobbyists. Our pilots hold the required CAA qualifications and we renew and maintain our authorisation every year.

Before any job we check the airspace around your location. Where a site sits near an airport or other restricted airspace — for example around Birmingham or Coventry — we obtain the necessary permissions from air traffic control before flying. If a flight cannot be carried out legally and safely, we will tell you and suggest alternatives rather than take risks.

    Risk Assessments

Every flight begins with a site-specific risk assessment. We review the location in advance — looking at obstacles such as power lines, trees and buildings, nearby roads and public spaces, and the people who may be present on the day.

On the day itself we carry out an on-site check before take-off, confirming weather conditions, wind speed and a clear take-off and landing area. Our drones are inspected before every flight and maintained to the manufacturer's schedule.

    Insurance

We hold £5 million public liability insurance specifically for commercial drone operations, covering every job we undertake. This protects you, your property and the public while we are on site. Proof of insurance is available on request, and we are happy to provide copies directly to venues, estate agents or site managers who require them before work begins.

    Experience You Can Trust

With 10 years of experience in professional drone photography and filming, we have completed hundreds of flights across Birmingham, Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider UK — from property marketing and construction surveys to weddings and live events.

That experience means we know when conditions are right, when to wait, and how to get the shots you need without ever compromising on safety.
